This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school with a mosaic of diverse learners in Los Angeles, California. Our school has a little over 500 students. The kids learn more when physically and artistically active, and I do not want them to miss these activities due to the lack of materials. My goal is to create a well-rounded experience for our enthusiastic and tenacious little learners! I want the students to be eager to come to school each and every day, excited to learn!

My Project

These hands-on manipulatives will help the students connect the sound to the corresponding letter. The object will leave a picture imprint in their brain which will help them learn the alphabet sounds.

Young children learn the most at this age when they are playing.

This center will promote play and help develop phonemic awarenesss. These tubs will provide the perfect combination to help the little Tigers become Alphabet Wizards.

The organizer will help the students and myself. I need an easy, efficient way to store the tubs that is accessible to the student groups and easy for them to use.
