I have a wonderful group of students who have created a fun and motivating learning community. Throughout the day, students can be seen working and creating at their tables, reading in the library corner, writing and drawing at the writing center, and using their imagination in the kitchen and art centers.
My students love to be hands-on with their learning.
The alphabet tubs will allow students to have a learning experience beyond what a piece of paper can teach them. The alphabet tubs allow students to practice their letter names and letter sounds using objects helping to strengthen their foundation for reading.
My Project
Students will benefit from the use of these tubs in variety of ways. They will help to increase student engagement during literacy instruction. The alphabet tubs can be used whole-class while introducing a letter at a time. Students can also use these tubs in small groups during literacy stations by completing activities such as letter sorts and letter matching.
The hands-on learning of the alphabet tubs allows students to practice their letter sounds in an engaging and meaningful way.
The blends, digraphs and vowel tubs provide students with even more phonics practice. This will help to build their foundation as strong readers as they complete their kindergarten year.
