Help me give my students more materials to help with their letter and number identification. The "Blocks and Blueprints Learning Station" will help scaffold on their prior building experiences. The "magic boards" will help with fine motor skills!!
Luzerne County Head Start is a program for low income families. We service children 3-5 years of age. Our children have different levels and abilities. Our classroom is Monday-Friday 8:00-1:40. We require to have a variety of activities to help individualize with each child and their ability. The children have many interests and our classrooms are set up with the individual child in mind. We have different areas in the classroom, Art Area, Block Area, Kitchen Area, Writing Area, Manipulative Area, Library, Science, Sand and Water TAble. There is even a cozy cube for children when they need to be alone!
We are focusing a lot on Math and numbers along with Letter identification.
Our class is blended with Spanish and English, so we would like to purchase supplies to help us advance in these areas.
My Project
Fine motor skills and writing are always a struggle for many new children. The "Magic Boards" will add a new way for the children to explore writing. In preschool we are learning about letters and numbers. I have requested a variety of materials to help to incorporate into different areas of the classroom. (Alpha Bots, Number Bots, Alphabet learning locks, Number Learning Locks, Float and Find Alphabet Bubbles).
My children love to explore and build.
The Float and Build Water Blocks will add a new level of curiosity for them in water play. The Blocks and Blueprints Learning Center will help them with spatial relationship and show them that building things has an end result.
