My Students

I teach at a wonderful TK-8th grade school that strives for fostering community and empathy! My school is full inclusion which means students with variety of special needs are fully immersed in the general education classroom. We are a Title I school where ALL students are given free meals.

My students flourish with new and engaging materials.

Each student brings an important and unique set of skills and personalities to our class. They range in both physical and academic abilities making my classroom diverse as I search for new ways to engage and differentiate.

My Project

My goal as a teacher is to find new ways to engage my learners! One way is to use these alphabet letters in a variety of ways for them to learn their high frequency words and create new CVC words.

They will learn to READ!

Having these magnetic ABC letters will allow me to teach CVC words to my class as a whole, in small groups, and they can work on them independently. From putting them in sensory bins filled with sand, rice, or beans to using them to build words, they will help my students be able to identify their lowercase letters. This classroom basic will aid in their engagement and offers endless ways I can use them in teaching them how to read.
