My students need air dry clay, paint, buttons, sequins, pipe cleaners, glitter glue, large craft sticks, beads, pom poms, magnets, and other art embellishments.
The majority of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and 85% qualify for free/reduced-price school lunch. My diverse Kindergartners represent a plethora of cultures and linguistic backgrounds, and all of them have something special to share with us!
Our diverse Kindergarten classroom is filled with energetic and eager learners ready to learn!
My students are Arabic, Black, Caucasian, Egyptian, Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese/Vietnamese, Italian/Chinese, and Polish/Chinese. We are learning to be safe, responsible, and respectful in our classroom and school!
My students will be able to express their artistic creativity with this plethora of art embellishments and tools. My students will be able to create many memorable holiday projects that they will cherish with their families.
My students will be given the opportunity to create and choose from a variety of textured, colorful art collage materials to create what their imagination envisions.
They can create holiday clay ornaments with their favorite color or make a pattern with various colors of choice. They can count the number of buttons or pom poms or sequins they need to complete their craft project.
They will create a square or rectangular frame out of large craft sticks to hold a favorite photograph! They will personalize and create their unique one of a kind photo frame.
They will use beads to practice their fine motor skills and string them on the glittery pipe cleaners to create bracelets, necklaces, decoration, or anything their minds can imagine!
It is amazing to watch how children create and interact with each other when they are creating an art and craft project. It is special to see them helping each other out and sharing their art projects and thinking behind their "unique" creation. Help bring us all the glitter and sparkles of the creative artistic experience!
