I teach a class of twenty-five active and creative third graders. Students of varying ability levels work together to encourage and support each other. Our school uses inclusionary practices to provide for children with behavioral, intellectual and physical challenges. Students work in large and small groups to develop skills in all academic areas. My third graders are provided opportunities to work collaboratively in all content areas.
In our third grade curriculum, students are encouraged (and expected) to become technologically literate.
Using a variety of technology tools, students are able to create, communicate, think critically, and collaborate.
My Project
In our third grade English/Language Arts standards, students are required to create engaging recordings with visual displays on selected topics of their choice. The Microsoft Surface Go will be an engaging tool that definitely supports this requirement. Additionally, we are eager to use Microsoft Sway as a new method for sharing content.
Providing multiple options for students to use as they build 21st Century Skills will prepare them for future careers.
The inclusion of a case that includes a keyboard will be essential in creating classroom projects. This device will be used on a daily basis in multiple content areas.
