Fun-loving, energetic and brilliant scholars are what we have at Thomas Paine! We have a diverse group of students who love engaging activities, learning, reading and exploring social play. While many of our children thrive in the classroom and in the overall school environment; there are many students who continue to need support in order to become successful and thrive. Our school uses the Universal PBIS system in order to grow good behavior, teach new behaviors and reward students for their efforts in improvements.
This year I have piloted the All-Star Student Store, a school-wide incentive program designed to reward those hard-working, consistent students and to motivate all students to continue following expectations and going above and beyond to build character and success.
Currently the store contains anything from pencils and glue to large stuffed animals and board games. In order to keep the store stocked and motivating for our students, we need inventory! The children are excited about the Store this year! They are wanting to earn Tiger Cash and ask all the time when they can shop at the store. The Store currently has been stocked by donations but will soon need replenishing! We need your help!
My Project
These materials are motivators and are great tools for the children to earn for all their hardwork! For example, the students here really love sports! Basketball, football, soccer, jumping rope and things of that nature. With these items the kiddos will not only be able to continue their love for sports but also increase their daily activity. Sensory dough and tactile materials help our students with special needs and those who need extra sensory support throughout their school day. This is a fun, motivating and awesome incentive for all students at Thomas Paine that are growing in exhibiting good choice making and character building and academic success. It encourages our kiddos to monitor their behavior, recognize negative behavior, and exhibit the new behaviors being taught and cultivated.
