I teach in a Title I School in the northeast part of Nebraska. The Title I program is federally funded, it aims to support children in meeting the state's academic standards. Title I programming supplements regular education, providing services for identified students needing assistance to meet grade level expectations. Students come from diverse backgrounds with their own unique individual needs.
My students’ achievement ranges from at grade level, above grade level to significantly below grade level.
These students have a wide range of needs that impacts their learning daily. These materials would provide a supplement to traditional materials and methods of teaching.
My students will benefit from accessing quality resources in our classroom. Many of my students do not have access to resources at home. Your donations will help give students access to materials that will bridge the gap. Thank you for your consideration.
My Project
The materials I have chosen will help children learn essential skills through hands on activities. These activities will help the students learn their basic skills. With these activities, we are trying to make it be a fun learning environment without always using the traditional paper and pencil activities. Child learn in different ways and with these materials we hope to meet each child's learning needs.
Even with the virus children are expected to meet the state standards.
As teachers we are having to think outside the box to work with our children to meet those expectations. As of now we are working with our children face to face in the classroom, but with the uncertainty we may have to teach our children through distant learning.
