This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students learn best when they get to be hands-on, and they missed so much of that when they were learning online. Now that we are back in-person I want each student to have their own ten frame set and a wipe board while I use the jumbo magnetic ten frames on the Display Teaching Chart. Having their own materials ensures that students only share their knowledge and not germs or viruses.

A large Display Teaching Chart will help all students see, while wipe boards and ten frames will assist the students in their collaboration, practice, and exploration of mathematics.

While the ten frames will be used for math, the wipe boards will be used for all subjects throughout the day. The Display Teaching Chart will also be used throughout the day for large and small groups. The wheels will allow me to use it all over the room and the convenient storage space will optimize our learning time.
