My Students

I love teaching my 21 amazing students! It is exciting to watch them discover and grow each day. They love hands on activities and using technology to help them understand new concepts! I have a wide range of abilities in my classroom and I strive to use as many tools as possible to engage and excite students. My class looks forward to our daily station times so that they can have different opportunities to practice and review what we have learned. I want to provide them more tools to improve their understanding of math and literacy concepts.

My Project

I would love to give more opportunities for my students to interact with technology in my classroom. An iPad not only increases engagement, but allows students a different way to interact with the material they are learning. I have observed Osmo being used in other classrooms at my school and I was excited that it uses a hands on approach by allowing students to manipulate tiles. The different activities allow them to increase their understanding of topics in math and language arts. The iPad and Osmo would help me meet the variety of student needs and be a wonderful tool to include in my classroom!
