My Students

I teach all day kindergarten at a charter school where my classroom is full of fun, bright, energetic, and curious students. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have different learning styles. I love to do hand-on engaging activities with my students.

My class loves to learn and explore the world around them.

They enjoy, reading, math, and doing science experiments. I am thrilled to be able to provide meaningful learning experiences, and through them instill a love of learning.

My Project

This year I started teaching an all day kindergarten class. Due to Covid-19 many of my students have had little experience with school. This year I have more students that need help academically, socially, and behaviorally. My class is very active.

The supplies I have requested will help their minds grow while keeping their hands busy.

We use whiteboards daily in our classroom. My class learns best when they do something hands on. We will use the whiteboards and magnetic letters daily to practice letters and spelling words. The LCD writing tablets will give my students a way to be creative when doing their handwriting and spelling. The phonics readers will give my students more books in our classroom library that they can read on their own and feel successful. Each day we have a teacher read aloud time where I read chapter books to my students. They love the "Magic Tree House" series. It would be wonderful to have a complete set in my classroom. My students also love to "play" with bear math manipulatives. I look forward to having enough bears for the whole class to use for math rather than just a few students. Everything from the crayons to the writing tablets to the math manipulatives are supplies that will help keep my students' little hands busy while growing their minds.
