These students are in 6th and 7th grade and go to a Title I school. The entire school receives free lunch, and most of the families come from inner-city backgrounds.
Being a Title I school, funding for materials can be very limited, so I want to be able to provide my team with the best resources to help them reach their full potential.
These students work hard and are extremely motivated. I want them to feel successful in how they are performing.
My Project
This project is supporting my inclusion and resource students for next year. One easy thing I am asking for are the magnetic shelves for my whiteboard. Although I teach math, I want to promote books we will be reading in my classroom centered around math, behavior strategies, and environmental books.
Exploration is my next target for the new school year.
I want learning to be tangible and fun! The geometry blocks are going to be a great addition to my classroom. Students will be able to build their own designs and find the surface area of those models. The planting kit I want to use in multiple units I will be teaching this year. Students can measure, find growth rates and collect data in their folders to connect nature with math!
