My Students

Our school is comprised of many low-income families and is limited on funds to give the students every opportunity to learn from different teaching methods. It is hard to find quality interactives for students to work with that will actually engage students on a specific topic.

My students always get excited when I am able to incorporate hands-on learning activities that get them up and moving around.

My Project

All of my students always try their hardest to do their best and these charts will help them reach their goals of success. Place value is tough to visualize without having something tangible with which to work.

Students continue to struggle with place values and understanding that place values are based on multiples of ten.

These place value charts will help solidify decimal place values for ALL of my students. Students will be able to practice in groups of two to help each other learn place value. Students can practice labeling each place value AND be able to decipher words into numbers. It is proven that students learn more when using their hands to touch objects rather than just writing things on paper. These charts are very versatile and give me many different combinations of skills to practice.

I am very excited to give this opportunity to my students!!
