All Hands on Deck! Engaging Activities for Young Learners
Help me give my students by allowing me to provide these tasks and activities to help strengthen and improve their functional, life, social, and academic skills.
I have the best job in the world and I love each and every one of my students. I am currently teaching Autistic Support for K, 1st, and 2nd grade. My school building is home to most of the students in the district who are ESL, AS, ES, and LS in the surrounding area. My learners are between 5-7 years old and are diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. They arrive to school each day with not just a backpack but with emotional, social, and physical needs in addition to intensive academic support to help them succeed. Please help me provide a meaningful and engaging learning experience that is adapted for each of my amazing students' learning needs!
My school is full of incredible students, devoted teachers, and parents/guardians who all work together to provide a safe, individualized, and peaceful environment for students to succeed, despite the incredible and inconsistent changes the pandemic has thrown our way recently.
Please help my students by donating towards multiple hands on matching and interactive skills activities and that will allow me to expose my students to many different life-skills, fine motor skills, and interactive play activities to help them grow and learn this year.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will help them gain exposure and practice in the world around us. My students are on the Autism Spectrum and come to school full of excitement and different learning abilities. With your help I can use these hands on activities and tasks to engage my young and growing students to interact with their peers and instructors in a fun way. I will be able to use these activities not only for 1:1 instruction, but during independent work stations, as well as incorporate dramatic play and life-skills situations throughout their day to help my students begin to learn and grow as they start their journey through education.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding through many hands on and engaging topics and interactive tasks where we can play to learn and begin to experience and engage with the world around us!
Students will be able to play and work with different activities that I will be able to create ranging from fine motor skills, matching and sorting activities, ABA based matching activities, and interactive social skills lessons to help us cope and work throughout our daily routine. Most of my students need assistance when it comes to engaging in play and interacting with the world and those around them. I truly would appreciate your support to make this a reality for my students. Thanks you for your consideration!
