"What can I do next?" is not what a teacher ever wants to hear in the classroom.
My wonderful second graders attend a visual and performing arts school in Georgia.
They are a mix of students who catch on quickly and those who need a few tries. But they are all in need of lots of worthwhile activities to complete once the main lesson is mastered. I need the activities to be related to content and my students need the activities to be fun. With games, we both win!
All children love to play games and my class is the number one fan of playing games. We need games in our classroom to enrich lessons in reading and math. Games pique the interest of children and help them engage in learning. Obtaining games will change my students’ learning experiences. While they are playing the games, they won’t realize they are learning at the same time. Think about playing games as a child and how much fun it was. Ultimately this addition of games in the classroom will create a population of students who have a passion for learning and life!
