My kindergarten students come from a variety of different backgrounds, but they have no issue accepting each other. They have the biggest hearts and truly care about each other. We always send hugs to those friends who are absent and say "we missed you" when they return. I couldn’t have asked for a better community of friends and learners!
My young learners are very active and love to experience different ways of learning.
We enjoy dancing and singing constantly every day. We use brain breaks daily, and we are huge fans of the learning station and gonoodle. Even though my students have lots of energy and wiggles, they are amazingly hard working and love to learn. They enjoy read a-louds, centers, small group learning as well as independent work.
I know that my students are always trying their best at whatever they are doing and very much want to please every adult they come into contact with. I could not have asked for a better group of students to help encourage and bloom.
My Project
Right now in my kindergarten classroom, I do not have enough tables for each of my reading and math center groups. During these times of instruction, I either meet with my students and read on the floor with them or give students clipboards to complete their work on the carpet. With your donation, you will not only be giving my students a place to meet with me during small group instruction, but you will also be providing yet a new and exciting way for students to learn.
At this table, students will be able to show their work by actually writing right on the top!
What child wouldn't love that!? Students will not have to waste time getting out supplies like toolboxes, or marker boards. Instead, the students can get right to work on handwriting, spelling, blending sounds, math facts and more with just a dry erase marker. Let's face it, children always need something new to keep learning exciting, and I think this table will do just that.
