My students need 4 Osmo ipad system learning kits and 2 coding add-on programs to fosters social intelligence and creative thinking by opening up the iPad to the endless possibilities of physical play.

My Students

Benjamin Franklin said, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."

Our school is located on a military base with 100% military population.

This creates a very diverse and special group of students! They all have something in common, yet they have such different backgrounds. These students typically move every 3 to 4 years, so it is my goal to spark interest early to explore the world around them and encourage to seek the answer to their why questions.

My Project

This system allows the students to work collaboratively in language arts, mathematics, STEM and the arts. Step into a classroom with Osmo and you might see student integrating science and music by coding a musical tunes. Or you might see a group of students trying to be the first to guess and spell out the on‑screen hidden word by tossing down real‑life letters faster than their friends. In math, students will be arranging tangible puzzle pieces into matching on‑screen shapes while they see their handy‑work lighting up with each victory and using the number add improve there counting and math facts. This system will be used in ALL content areas and will have a tremendous impact on my learners.
