Many of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and face many challenges inside and outside of the classroom. Though my students come from a low income school district, they are always coming to school with smiles on their face. They are eager to learn new and exciting things. At times, it can be a challenge to motivate struggling learners. Therefore, I love making learning exciting and meaningful by using creative instruction and effective learning tools. Many of my students are hands-on and visual learners. I hope the passion I exhibit will inspire my students to work towards academic success.
My Project
My students would benefit from flexible seating in the classroom. Using non traditional seating such as bean bag chairs and stools allow students to be more comfortable in the learning environment. This will motivate students to stay engaged in their daily academic assignments as they choose their own seating and place to learn. Students can also gain a sense of ownership in their learning as they meet their own learning needs and goals. This type of environment encourages students to share ideas with one another and work collaboratively on tasks. Your donation will help buy stools and beanbags and will help to create a positive learning environment for my students. They will learn to make a commitment to becoming lifelong learners.
