My Students
My kids have not had the opportunity to experience much in the music classroom besides singing. They love giving concerts and always sing their hearts out. We are becoming more diverse as children are coming in, from other countries, to our area.
My students love to have fun while learning.
I want them to experience a wide variety of musical instruments and styles.
There is much talent to uncover, and my students would benefit greatly from new instruments they've never experienced before.
My Project
A great Orff ensemble has a wide variety of instruments. We were fortunate enough to purchase a small set of xylophones and glockenspiels this fall.
It would be so wonderful to bring the low booming sound of bass bars to the ensembles.
The bass xylophones are a big hit in my classroom. Being able to add bass bars would allow my kids to feel the bass better and how it is so important to have a strong bass foundation to build your sound upon.
Forming Orff ensembles with my kids is teaching them teamwork and they get to experience the feeling of being apart of something bigger than themselves.
