My Students
I am a Title I reading teacher in a small rural community. I serve first through fourth grade levels in small reading groups. The students enjoy hands on activities in our pullout groups. Many of the students are very creative, artistic and work well together. They are amazing students with positive attitudes ready to learn new things daily. Many students come from bilingual households such as Hispanic and French Creole. All the students receive free or reduced price lunch.
My Project
I have small reading pullout groups in grades 1-4. The two set of books and activity books I have ordered will help students to learn 21st century and science vocabulary. We are in need of more science base reading books for the students. They are naturally curious and love to investigate.
The STEM activities in the activity books will help keep them highly engaged and have hands on experience while learning about STEM.
Activities will be sent home for students to complete so families can help to reinforce STEM. Also, the stickers which are ordered will be used for reward and recognition.
