My school has a high percentage of free and reduced-price lunch recipients.
We also have a large diversity of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This year, I have a mixed ability group consisting of nine boys and eleven girls. Some have grasped reading skills at a faster rate than others, and some need a little more time. They are eager to learn.
My Project
Every year, my students pick animals to research and present their finding to the class. We need printer ink so they can print out their research and make posters to hang. The other items will help decorate for our open house when they present to their parents and friends. This year we will gear our presentation to helping others find compassion for animals. These objects will help us set the tone of the room and make their presentations have the ultimate impact. We will hang the animal lanterns, print on the animal paper, and wrap the table with the animal print wrapping paper.
