Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Learning to read and write is one of life's most difficult tasks. Just like people come in a variety of shapes and sizes, children also learn differently and in a variety of ways. While some students seem to teach themselves to read, others struggle greatly. Now imagine trying to read and write in a language other than what is spoken in your home! It can be a daunting task. With the addition of a sight word learning center, my second language learners will have the opportunity to use more than one modality and get the hands-on practice they need to master the most common sight words. Each of the 6 centers gradually increases in difficulty while focusing on the same sight words. Each student will get tons of practical reinforcement. Learning just 8 words at a time will ensure learning at the right pace. The easy grip foam letters let children build sight words and tracing and printing activities help children learn to write. Help my students get on the right track with this learning center! All Aboard!
