Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

In my full-day, self-contained kindergarten classroom, the students report to me that their favorite time of the day is "Learning Station" time! Learning Stations are centers that the children rotate through participating in a variety of hands-on activities. I want to develop and further expand the "Construction Station" this year to include more hands-on manipulatives and activities which are sorely needed in our classroom. By funding this proposal, you will enable my youngsters to strengthen their small motor skills, learn to build and construct, develop vocabulary words, establish cooperative relationships, use their creative imaginations and have fun! Approximately twenty students will engage and use a variety of construction materials to reach the above objectives. All materials will be purchased from Lakeshore Learning Materials. The children will be so excited to start the new school year with engaging activities awaiting them in the "Construction Station!"
