This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have routines in my class that help them have normality and stability while having a safe environment to learn math.

My students are low-income, underprivileged, urban city children who are bright and have been accepted into a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) school.

My school is filled with 98% minorities, mainly Hispanic and African American children.

My Project

My students need thin markers that will be used in notebooks to draw and label items of importance. A printer will benefit my students when they print out their projects. Thin markers will be used in notebooks to draw and label items of importance and for foldables and projects. The printer will print projects that are made via computer. Color coding with markers will help them pick out important details from each lesson and enhance activities and projects with color.

With these donations, my students will not have to burden their families with a printer or markers that may be pricey and have to buy school supplies that may not be affordable.

My students will be focused on their classwork rather than "How will my family afford these items?"
