Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

We are amazing first grade students and we love to learn! Our special classroom filled with 21 vibrant, curious, energetic little minds eager to learn about whatever is in front of us. We are incredibly fortunate to have each other. Everyday we inspire one another to learn in so many different ways. One of the ways we love to learn is through songs, game play and working hard to use our imagination to create our own games within our physical classroom. To be close to each other, yet have our own space we would love to be able to sit on an engaging, bilingual and colorful carpet. Unfortunately, we live in a very low-income community and out parents and neighbors are unable to help us buy such a carpet. Once we have this great bilingual carpet with letters, numbers, words and pictures we will be excited to use it for learning, sharing, story time and community circle! Much of our learning is spent on the carpet in First Grade. This carpet is not just a carpet; it is the physical foundation for our learning. Your help would ensure that we have not only clean and exciting classroom, but also new ways to learn and experience our world. Each day we will enjoy our carpet and be thankful to our generous donors who show us just how much they care about our learning and well-being. Thank you so much in advance.
