My Students

I have a group of amazing fifth graders that are eager to learn new things. Technology in the classroom is one thing that engages my students, but living in a rural, lower income area becomes a struggle for them at home. It is also harder for our school to come up with these resources in the classroom.

I want all students to have the same opportunities to use technology that will prepare them for their future careers.

With your help, we can make this happen.

My Project

My students need an Alexa Show as a classroom assistant (to replace our broken one.) The increase of technology in our world is amazing! We can now ask a robot to help us with homework, set a timer for timed tests or sharing ideas with a partner, and even ask them to show us a picture of something we might be studying in social studies.

Amazon Alexa Show will allow my students to access information quickly.

I have used one in the classroom for several years now and have been able to use it in a writing center as a dictionary or thesaurus. It can help students calculate distances on a map and weather around the globe. We use it all the time and it will be missed if we don't get our broken one replaced!
