My Students

My students learn differently. They are smart, creative, and hard-working, but need additional support in math and language arts. I teach in a Title I school, where a high percentage of students are on a free and reduced lunch program. My students come from all different walks of life, and a lot of their families are from the working class. Often times, my students come to school and it is the only positive time of their day, where they know they are cared for.

My Project

My students have amazing personalities and are wonderful kids; however, they all have great difficulty learning and are often grade levels behind in reading, writing, and mathematics. All of my students want to learn and do well in their studies; they often just do not know how to begin without assistance.

Amazon's Alexa Echo can help engage my students in their learning and enhance their learning experience.

Alexa is an artificial intelligence that can help my students in a variety of ways. Alexa can answer basic math facts, answer curious students' questions, spell words, and even translate to and from different languages. Students are currently in their technology generation; we should be encouraging them to use technology as they learn and while they have these tools available to them.
