My students are inquisitive, curious, ambitious, and self-motivated. They have big dreams but limited opportunities to fulfill those dreams. With help, they will do great things! They are willing to try new things, and I want to steer them in the right direction. They come from many social and economic backgrounds and together represent a variety of learners. I don't want anything to hold them back, especially materials or disabilities when they each have such potential to achieve success.
Many students come to my classroom with different struggles that make learning especially difficult.
They want to focus, but it is sometimes a struggle. I want to make their task to focus somewhat easier. I want to create a place where learning is a safe, stimulating, and fun environment. Every child deserves a classroom where learning is catered to them! My students are craving knowledge and will soak up anything new that I offer to them.
Voice-controlled devices are here to stay, and it is time for me to embrace this technology in my classroom. With Amazon Alexa and Echo Dot I can transform my classroom into an interactive learning space where students use voice-controlled searches in the classroom. In addition, the kids love it, and it's fun! With the push buttons, we can play trivia games to test our knowledge and compete to answer the correct answer. This is a perfect way to add technology to our classroom and give us quick access to information just by asking Alexa. Students can ask Alexa how to spell a word or if their math equation is correct. They can even ask a historical question. I can set a quick timer or play soft music. I can ask Alexa to tell us a story from my Audible account. We can ask for definitions of words and ask for synonyms. We can play trivia games or find out geographical facts. Alexa offers us so much information quickly just by asking. This is such a perfect addition to our classroom and such a great resource for all students. It's like having a second teacher in the corner of the room. Having an Alexa in our room will take us in the right direction!
