My students need an Echo Show to help motivate them in being inquirers who search for information independently! A pencil sharpener will give them a fresh pencil point for writing!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Open-minded. Risk-takers. Communicators. Inquirers. Balanced. Caring. Thinkers. Principled. Reflective. Knowledgeable. These characteristics are what our International Baccalaureate (IB) school believes about our students.
My 4th grade students this year are willing to try just about anything to help them learn better!
They bring life to our classroom every day by asking great questions, working collaboratively on their group projects, and have bonded to create a positive community!
They look for opportunities to connect their learning. We recently finished a unit on the different groups of people who make up Colorado's history. We were able to visit a pioneer village and a nearby fort that helped bring what they learned in the classroom to life!
We have many working-class families that attend our school. We serve over 55% free and reduced-price lunch families and more than 60% are Latino. Above all, they have dreams of becoming pediatricians, police officers, teachers, and environmentalists!
My Project
Using the Echo Show will allow my students to have one more reference source at their fingertips! They will be able to focus on asking questions in the classroom which will help them become better learners! It will also allow them to be more self-directed and motivated to find information.
Having an Echo Show will also allow our classroom to run smoother!
We use timers often so that we can stay on track with our learning and soft music for when voices are off and we want some relaxing sounds. This will give us an opportunity to make our classroom more efficient. We also need a heavy duty pencil sharpener to keep our pencils sharpened so that we can do our best work. Currently, we have 4 classroom handheld sharpeners that just do not give us the same quality. Finally, Mr. Sketch markers will give us new tools to make our classroom anchor charts for learning.
