Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

The students at my school are well-behaved, ambitious, and willing to improve their language skills.
Many students' intention on the first day is to come to school to learn and to evolve their learning processes and understanding.
My school likes to think of itself as a progressive school; however, the lack of technology within its walls contradicts this idea. Money is very tight at the moment. Technology allows the teacher to have the capability to analyze and track students' weaknesses. Unfortunately, the technology we have in the school does not meet the demands of our students' needs.
My Project
We use a projector and pull down screen in two rooms. Even with dimmed rooms, the display image is washed out and it is very impractical to move a projector from a room to another. As a result, students have difficulty observing the presentations and presenting their projects.
When my students present, they learn to reflect on their own culture, learn from other cultures, appreciate the work of others, and practice individual and group decision making.
Lessons, demonstrations, and presentations are currently viewed by our students through the use of a laptop and projector. Using a TV instead of projector produces more vivid colors and is more exciting to the students. This invites them to engage in using technology in their learning. When students practice interpersonal communication and presentational activities with their peers, they gain excellent preparation and skills for college and career presentations.
