Help me give my students three Samsung Chromebook 11.6 4GB and headsets to assist them in meeting their weekly I-Ready goals as they are actively engaged in small group differentiated instruction.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The school to which I am employed is a Title I school located in the District of Miami Dade County. The make-up of a Title I school includes students from a low socio-economic background, having various learning styles. All students under this program are provided free or reduced price lunch. Nevertheless, students in this Title I school are moving forward "As One with One GoAl", SUCCESS!, even as they are faced with the challenge of coming to school every day and not having the necessary resources, like the required technology needed to be successful learners. As a 21st century teacher in a school whose theme encourages students to "Aim" for Success, I understand the challenges students face daily. Therefore, not having adequate resources in the classroom should not be included in those challenges.
The task I face, as the teacher, is to listen to my students and try to understand those challenges spoken, and then do whatever I can to lighten their loads.
In accomplishing the task at hand, I could prepare students to become productive, through meaningful and engaging resources, while using the latest technology to increase their understanding of the core curriculum.
My Project
These Samsung Chromebooks would permit students to work independently within their differentiate instructional small groups to utilize the various educational software funded by the local public school district, which is used to intensify the students’ knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Most importantly, having Samsung Chromebooks within the classroom will help my students to become holistic and engaged learners.
Students will also become equipped with the required knowledge to meet their educational goals, as they overcome the technology portion of their daily challenges at school. Upon receiving these Chromebooks students will eagerly engage in working with their peers during small group instruction.
