Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students have been introduced to the world of an ornithologist. What a great way to help students become great observers through birdwatching. My students can really hone in on two very important skills while learning about the small and sometimes large birds that are flying around our community.

Your donation will benefit my students even more if I can broaden their experience through hands-on intuitive learning.

This lens will help capture images of the different birds that fly and soar around our building high up in the sky. This experience in bird watching will lay a foundation of learning to research as students study the images this lens will help them to capture. The students can learn a lot about birds and identifying them by markings, colors and feathers.

Your donations to my class will give them the opportunity to explore investigative learning outside the classroom and away from the traditional pencil paper work. I am looking forward to watching my students grow as researchers and learners.
