This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Currently in our classroom our students are bringing in their own mechanical pencil sharpeners as we do not have an automatic classroom pencil sharpener. This will reduce a lot of pencil shavings that get on the floor throughout the day, as well as limit distractions. I think a pencil sharpener is a necessity to have in a classroom! Along with that, my students currently have whiteboards to assist with learning on a daily basis. I might ask the students a question and they have to write it on a whiteboard. With that being said, in order to use a whiteboard you also have to have a whiteboard marker, which most of my students do not have. Using whiteboards can be difficult when we have a limited amount of markers for the boards. The doodle boards will help the students learn in a way that makes it easier with less supplies.
