Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very driven by technology! It makes learning fun and engaging! Technology allows for differentiation so easily so all students, no matter what age, reading level, math level, etc, can access the learning standard and have fun with it too!
Whether it's reading digital books to advance their reading comprehension, playing math "games" to help support their needs, or even podcasting their favorite topics, my students are excited to jump into learning when it involves using their laptops!
My Project
My students use laptops for digital books in all subject areas! Reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Many of my English Language Learners still need audio on books to help them read these digital books. Headphones will allow my students to focus without disrupting other students.
My students play different math games to help support their fast-fact and story problem needs.
It's very distracting with 30 games going at once! Headphones will allow students to use the audio to assist in their learning.
We also use programs like i-Ready, Raz-kids, and myOn to support differentiated learning.
