Learning math can be hard for many students in a classroom setting. Now imagine trying to learn math digitally, from a video or through a video meeting.
I am a special education high school math teacher.
My students face many challenges every day and school should not be one of them, especially during this difficult time for many of our students. I am trying to provide my students with everything they need to be successful this school year.
Math always seems like a mountain they have to climb, but they are strong, fearless, caring young men and women that surprise me every day. My students need examples and steps to guide them. Help me make this experience as easy as possible for them!
My Project
It's no easy task learning Algebra in the classroom. Now throw in distance learning and you have yourself a real mess! Math is scary for a lot of students and learning through a computer makes it even more difficult. I am trying to provide some normalcy to my student by providing them with the visual aids we would use in the classroom. Being able to print materials and show them hands on or provide worked out exampled with steps to help explain a problem will make a huge difference in their day to day learning.
