Help me give my students new sporting equipment to create an after school intramural sports program. I would like to have volleyball, basketball and badminton equipment for students to be able to participate in these sports.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am very grateful to work with a diverse student demographic ranging from all ethnic backgrounds. I teach students with learning and physical disabilities as well as those who English is there second language. Majority of my students are Title I children who need everyday assistance with food, clothing and other materials.
My students rock at making the best of every situation even during difficult times or when times are hard.
Even though they are middle school children they strive to better themselves mentally and choose to make the positive choices in their lives.
My Project
My project is to help students have a better understanding of how play and physical fitness interact and lead to a healthier lifestyle. Having this new sporting equipment will help our school create new afterschool sport programs for many students to participate in. By starting volleyball, basketball and badminton we can encourage more students to participate in sports, an in turn learn about teamwork, fitness and health.
If we give our students new and different activities, they are more likely to go home and continue playing which would lead to a healthier lifestyle.
When students are having fun, they are more likely to repeat the activities they are engaging in. Students will be more receptive to a healthy lifestyle if they understand that it does not have to be stagnant and boring. It can be creative. Help us teach the next generation the importance of play.
