My Students

A typical day with our kids involves discovery, hard work, curiosity and enthusiasm!

Our students are 3rd-6th graders, they love projects, especially when then are hands-on.

You should hear the response when I say we are doing a science experiment or inquiry project - their eyes light up! Our school, being somewhat small, has the feel of a large family. The older ones are helpful with the younger students and it has a team atmosphere.

My Project

This project requests two LEGO Mindstorm sets and five Snap Circuits Jr. Sets. We're looking to more fully fulfill those characteristics of teamwork, discovery, and inquiry in our students by offering our students extracurricular STEM activities. We are currently trying to implement the STEAM program and we feel these will be some great tools to start us all out. We believe the hands-on opportunities with the LEGO Mindstorm and Snap Circuits Jr. sets will heighten our students' passion for learning.

The students will be challenged and gain excitement for learning.

We feel these tools will be the kind that inspire life-long learning. We noticed that our students are more engaged when they are doing hands-on projects and therefore we hope to heighten engagement in learning.
