Help me give my students great book choices to read in second grade! Each of these fun, beloved, classic children's book sets will allow my students to dive into a book they are going to love!
Students entering second grade are always ready to dive into a world or reading right away! They have spent the last two years of their schooling and education learning to read and now they are ready to take on the challenge independently! Except...they aren't quite sure what they like to read yet. Do they dare try out a chapter book? Who is this Judy Moody they've heard so much about and what in the world is a magic tree house?!
My students are book-loving, knowledge-seeking, eager, little learners!
They are ready to explore and find books they love. To help with this process, I do a book study once a month stretching a very wide variety of genres and themes in hopes of engaging, exciting and sparking interest in every one of my students. My hope is that they will hear a story they love, seek it out or something similar on their own, and begin their life long journey of loving to read!
My Project
Throughout the year, my class has multiple opportunities to pick a "book club" to be apart of. Together with 6 peers, they choose a book, read and discuss it together then create a one of a kind book report to share with the class.
These classic, beloved books will allow my students a wide range of titles and adventures to choose from.
These books will be used year after year, and inspire a future generation of enthusiastic readers! Students love being apart of a book club, sharing their ideas and creating a fun, unique book report. Please help make this possible by purchasing these book sets for my second graders!
