Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 22 of the most amazing kindergartners you would ever want to meet. They come to school with the brightest smiles and the biggest hearts ever! Even though we are a Title I school, we want to make sure their learning environment is as exciting as it can possibly be. 100% of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch program. My students are very excited to be learning great new things every day. They are so resilient and are so enthusiastic to have new learning experiences!
My Project
I am requesting a class set of Flat Stanley books, multicultural crayons, colorful stickers and a USA map for our very exciting Flat Stanley Project! First we will enjoy the book, Flat Stanley as a class. Also, each student will receive a copy of the book, Flat Stanley to take home and share with their families.
Next, we will use the multicultural crayons to color our Flat Stanleys and send them out to visit colleges and different state officials.
We will then actually await Flat Stanleys return. Upon Flat Stanley's return, will we use the USA map to chart where he visited. We will put a colorful sticker to mark his exact location. We are so excited to start this learning adventure!
