Adventure With Imagination
Help me give my students a field trip from reality with these amazing imagination building books.
I teach Pre-K at a very diverse school in Hartford, CT. The school holds classrooms from Pre-K to 8th grade. Our school sadly has been closed since March 16th and it has been a huge adjustment for everyone in my classroom. Not being able to see each other face to face has been very difficult. It has been mostly difficult because we did not know that, that was going to be our last day together as a class. One way I have created normalcy for my students has been reading to them. The students love seeing me read because it takes them out of reality for just a short while and brings them back into the classroom with me.
I am running out of time though because I am running out of books at home to read to my students.
I would like to maximize my distance learning with my students by expanding my book selection to keep my class connected.
Since distance learning has started, I have been posting on my class dojo read aloud videos every day. Sadly, my library is running out, I need help so I can continue to read to my class. These books will allow me to get through the rest of the year. My students love reading with me because books take them on a field trip into their imagination out of reality. Please help me purchase books so I can create engaging read aloud videos for my students.
Reading helps build an escape from reality and takes them on a trip into their imagination building lifelong readers.
The library I put together is filled with imagination, diversity, beautiful images, mindfulness, and adventure. I chose educational titles that have been highly recommended by teaching professionals to keep my students engaged. When we are able to return to school all of these amazing books will be added to my classroom library, for future students.
