My Students

My students are so full of life and strength. Most have been through much in life, and yet they are still persevering. They are resilient and inspiring. My students are constantly surprising me with what they know and who they are. They are special, not only because of what they have been through but because of what they are still continuing to live with. They are strong and funny and so very loving. I've learned that there is nothing that my students won't try to do.

My Project

Our school library was destroyed in Hurricane Ida. Our students have not had access to books, since August 29th. Our library will be closed for the entire 2021-2022 school year. It will not be repaired until the summer of 2022. My students depend on the school library. My classroom library is very limited and outdated. I have bought several books over the years for my classroom, but due to damages, I am not able to provide anymore at this time.

My students will greatly benefit from these books and enjoy the adventure they will be able to go on while reading these books.
