Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students come with a lot of baggage in their lives. They look to the classroom for security and support. The majority of our school is economically disadvantaged and face a lot of struggles at home. They are excited and eager to learn but often don't have the tools they need and support to do so.

This year, my goal is to create a bright and energizing place for them to learn and grow with a strong team around them.

They are ready to learn!

My Project

Chromebooks allow for more specialized instruction in our classroom. I would love to supply my class with enough Chromebooks so that each student could be on a computer program individualized to their learning needs whenever their classwork was done. It's a big dream!. My students come with large deficits in the learning and have a lot of ground to cover, so technology helps me reach every need that arises.

By being able to provide technology, my students can do more engaging projects and learning to overcome the gaps in their knowledge.
