My twenty-four seventh-grade math students are incredibly creative, innovative, and motivated students. When I have them doing mathematical and scientific investigations in class, I am so proud of their grasp of the scientific process. I only wish that they could see science beyond the scope of my public school classroom in East New York, Brooklyn. I would like to take my low-income, high-needs students to the Hall of Science in Queens for an incredible, hands-on scientific experience. I am requesting funding to cover the entry fee for all twenty-four of my students into the Hall of Science. Without a doubt, the opportunity to see science at work, in a hands-on, exciting environment will have a lasting impact on my students. I have no doubt that with the given inspiration, many of them will become valuable members of the math or science community. I ask for your help to give them this inspiration.
