Help me give my students with ADHD motion stools to help them focus on lessons and feel comfortable.
My students inspire me everyday! I teach special education students with various learning disabilities in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Wow, do they ever put their heart and souls into their learning! They want to desperately learn. I'm amazed each year with their capabilities as opposed to their disabilities. My students are kind and empathic as they know first hand how it feels to be bullied.
My students make me a better person and teacher through their tenacity to learn.
When a student struggles with ADHD and a learning disability it makes it difficult for them to focus on a lesson. They NEED to move in order to be successful.
Flexible seating with motion stools would help ADHD students move with the least disruptions in the overall classroom.
It truly would be a blessing for all of us. I have 16 students and this would provide one flexible seat per team. We will share and take turns.
I feel grateful for the opportunity to ask for this request and hope that someone sees the need and helps me to help my student's successes!
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
