My Students

My students are inquisitive, thoughtful, and full of energy. As a newbie to working with 8th graders, they're already teaching me so much and we've only been in school two weeks! My students are diverse and unique and I love having the opportunity to work with so many different personalities and backgrounds because it reminds me of the beauty that is found in "different".

My students are just learning who they are before transitioning to high school - every day is a chance to learn something new about themselves and I am so happy to get to be a part of their journey.

My Project

Over the summer my husband graciously spent his time making bar height tables for my classroom because I wanted to give students a cool environment and make them feel at home in my classroom. They turned out amazing! Unfortunately, I didn't foresee having as many students on my roster as I do, and I don't have enough chairs/stools for every student to have a seat. So far I've been using leftover chairs that don't match or having students stand as needed. I don't want anyone to feel left out so we need some help making sure everyone has a seat!
