In my class, I have a diverse group of students ranging from low performing to high performing. Currently, I have 10 girls and 10 boys and a mixture of students with a wide cultural background.
We do stations for English language arts and math.
In these stations I have 4 groups; two of which have 5 students, another with 4 students, and my lowest performing group with 6 students. For this group I try and support them visually as well as auditory.
These iPad will make a difference in my students' learning, by providing a fun way to learn new concepts. Using the iPad to engage students in reading, writing, and math will give them another way to practice these new developing skills.
Students cling to technology and being able to navigate it on their own gives them a sense of independence while their actually learning.
Providing these concepts in a small group setting with myself, then our reading specialist, then practicing with an iPad will really hone in on their different styles of learning in the classroom. Who doesn't love playing while actually learning on an iPad?!
