Adding Quality and Accessibility to Early Childhood Virtual Learning!
Help me give my students a Elmo document camera, wireless mouse, keyboard and headphones to provide the highest level of remote teaching for my students.
My classroom is made up of a diverse group of young learners ages 3-5. Most come from high poverty homes. All children in our district receive free and reduced lunch. These children enjoy exploring many different activities.
My young learners are a combination of typically developing students, students learning English for the first time, and students with special needs.
Exposure to high quality experiences and materials will forever change lives of my students. My classroom has learners of varied levels and includes students that have communication impairments, autism, developmental delays, fine motor impairments, as well as typically developing children in a inclusive classroom.
My Project
My students will use this new technology in order to view documents and materials presented in classroom virtual instruction. These technology devices will keep students engaged in their own learning virtually as well as prepare them with practice viewing the teachers demonstration. The ability for students to clearly hear my oral directions, see the directions using all modalities of learning will allow the me to not only maximize instructional time but deliver lessons in a way that is best for my students.
This technology will also help students to practice social skills and turn taking as well as early academic skills of the topics presented with the use of the document camera.
My students will explore learning activities and websites and use the math materials to apply and practice what they have learned.
The document camera will allow all students to see what I am teaching and give them quality instruction and high expectations that will produce social and academic growth.
