This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach 8/9 year olds in a high poverty Title I school. They receive free breakfast and lunch at our school. I am not quite sure what this school year will look like but I would still like to prepare a safe and inviting classroom setting.
My Project
Students learn many different ways! Help support any learning style in my classroom with flexible seating and STEM opportunities. Using flexible seating opportunites in my classroom will enhance engagment in all subjects. With no carpets in our classrooms, my students need different seating opportunities throughout the day to keep them engaged. Indoor recess and STEAM opportunites are always needed in the classroom espcially now when we are trying to limit students per learning station. Many of my students have not had a normal elementary setting due to COVID however I hope to give them as many engaging activities as possible this year.
