it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are full of personality. Most come from low economic families. They are considered at risk students, but they do the best that they can. Some love reading, some love math, and some love science. They all love art. My goal is to create more engaging activities for them to grow their interest and excitement.
My Project
This project will allow the students to open up their minds to the science that’s all around them. They can observe different items under the microscope. The students will also be challenged to find items from home. I will allow them to bring some items from home, and we can prepare microscope slides for. They will observe them. They will also have to supplies to draw visuals of what’s observed under the microscope. I will also look for articles through Newsela to incorporate reading with some of the items observed. For example, find articles about insects or soil.
