I am teaching Kindergarten for the second year. This is my first year on my own, in my own classroom. I teach at a public school in Florida. Since this is my first year on my own, I am short on some supplies for my students.
I love that all of my students are excited about learning and experiencing new things.
They are special because they are full of life and curiosity. They love to be busy and are always so happy to come to school. They enjoy being creative and learning through that creativity.
My Project
These materials will allow my students to learn in others ways. They will not always have to do worksheets. They will be able to express their learning through drawing, writing, Bingo games, Learning phonics centers, making hats and sequencing activities on sentence strips.
My goal is to get the students learning the same skills in multiple ways.
I can use the drawing paper to let them draw pictures of items that start with a certain sound, they can then make a hat that starts with that sound using the sentence strip. Then they can play a Bingo game to reiterate their learning, and follow it up with a craft activity that involves paint and googly eyes. All of the supplies I am asking for will be used to broaden my students' experiences.
